The short version.

  • What is ClipCook?

    ClipCook is an iPhone app that turns a cooking clip, a photo or a note into a recipe, then lets you gather those recipes into a cookbook you can print. On iOS 27, Apple Intelligence extracts the recipe on the device.

  • Can it turn a YouTube, TikTok or Instagram video into a recipe?

    Yes. Share the link from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Safari. ClipCook reads the public title, creator and description. It does not download the video. You review the draft before saving it.

    How a shared clip is imported

  • Does ClipCook need an account?

    No. There is no ClipCook account and no server that stores your recipes. On iPhone and iPad they sync with iCloud on your Apple ID. API keys stay on the phone and are not part of that copy.

    How data is handled

  • Where does the extraction run?

    On iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 and later, and on an iPad or Mac with Apple silicon, Apple Intelligence runs on the device. If it cannot, you can use your own key for OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or an OpenAI-compatible API, or type the recipe yourself. The key never leaves the phone.

  • Can I print a cookbook?

    Yes. Pick recipes, choose a layout — classic, editorial, ribbon or linen — and a paper size, A4, A5 or A6. ClipCook exports a PDF of those pages.
