# ClipCook

> ClipCook is an iPhone app that turns a cooking clip, a photo or a note into a recipe, then lets you gather those recipes into a cookbook you can print. On iOS 27, Apple Intelligence extracts the recipe on the device.

Share a link from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or Safari. ClipCook reads the public title, creator and description. It does not download the video. You review the draft before saving it. A photo of a page or pasted text works too.

Recipes, photos and cookbooks stay on the device. On iPhone and iPad they sync with iCloud. There is no ClipCook account and no recipe server.

ClipCook is coming to the App Store for iPhone on iOS 27. Android follows. There is no store listing yet.

## What it does today

- On-device extraction with Apple Intelligence on iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 and later, and on an iPad or Mac with Apple silicon. No account and no API key for that path.
- If the device cannot run Apple Intelligence, you can paste your own key for OpenAI, Claude, Gemini or an OpenAI-compatible API (Groq, DeepSeek, Together, Ollama and others). On iPhone the key stays in the Keychain. ClipCook never receives it. Only the recipe text is sent to that provider, under their pricing.
- You can also type the recipe yourself, with no model.
- Cookbooks group recipes, with sections, an editable cover, and one of four layouts: classic, editorial, ribbon or linen. Export a PDF in A4, A5 or A6. The preview is the PDF.
- The interface ships in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Bengali, Russian and Urdu.

## What it does not do yet

Cooking mode, scaled servings, a shopping list, metric and imperial conversion, timers on a step, importing a normal recipe webpage, widgets, Shortcuts, and handing a cookbook file to another phone are ideas on the roadmap. They are not in the app.
